March is Women’s History Month, and the theme this year is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
To celebrate the stories of women in the learning and development field and multiple education spaces, we reached out to internal and external partners and thought leaders to talk to them about their professional lives and the stories that have inspired them.
At ansrsource, we believe in the power of storytelling to educate, connect, and enrich people’s lives. We are grateful to the women who chose to share their stories with us. We hope you enjoy learning about the women we spoke with as much as we loved speaking with them.
Happy Women’s History Month!

What is your favorite part about working in the EdTech space?
My favorite part about working in the EdTech industry is the excitement from working in an environment where I am always learning new concepts, technologies, and processes. I get to explore new tools and designs, and also give back by providing students with a cohesive online experience.
Who is a woman you looked up to as a child?
I looked up to both my maternal and paternal grandmothers; they were both smart and resilient women.
What is your favorite kid’s book?
My favorite book as a kid was called Fog Magic. It “tells the story of a young girl who, on foggy days, travels back in time to enter the past life of an abandoned village.” It’s an imaginative concept and every time it gets foggy, I think about that young girl time traveling.
If you could pick one book to expose your community to, what would it be?
One of my favorite contemporary pieces of literature that I would recommend is A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit. It explores getting lost, loss, mapmaking, movies, and art. It’s like you are having a philosophical conversation about how to live life when life may feel uncertain, but it’s written in a way that anyone can read.
