We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer Consultant to design, develop, and review high-quality learning content across multiple formats. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, graphic designers, programmers, and client stakeholders to create engaging, learner-centric training solutions aligned with defined learning objectives.
This is a consulting role, not a freelance opportunity.
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Write and design instructional content for various training formats, including:
- SMART learning objectives
- Structured learning content aligned with learning objectives
- Creative and engaging content tailored to learner demographics
- Video and animation scripts
- Stories, scenarios, and dialogues for classroom training and e-learning
- Case studies and scenario-based learning
- Web-friendly text for interactive learning screens
- Assessment questions and feedback across different formats
- Ensure instructional soundness, learner engagement, and alignment with adult learning principles
Content Research & Structuring
- Research and review content across multiple disciplines and subject areas
- Use effective web search techniques to source accurate and relevant information
- Review large volumes of content efficiently using skim and scan techniques
- Identify patterns, structure information logically, and sequence content effectively for learning
Review & Enhancement
- Review instructional content, learning designs, graphic design assets, and developed courses for quality and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance content quality and learner experience
- Ideate and suggest innovative approaches to content treatment and presentation
- Propose visualization strategies and work closely with graphic designers for effective visual representation
- Ensure adherence to project guidelines, branding standards, and instructional best practices
- Maintain a high level of accuracy by identifying missing content, errors, and inconsistencies
Language & Editorial Excellence
- Demonstrate a strong command of the English language with advanced vocabulary and grammar
- Write clear, concise, and error-free content at varying levels of complexity
- Apply reading comprehension skills across diverse topics and domains
- Adapt content to geographical, cultural, and client-specific requirements
- Condense and summarize complex information without altering the intended meaning
Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate fluently and professionally in spoken English
- Collaborate effectively with global client teams and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrate maturity in handling client feedback and responding to queries appropriately
- Clearly explain content requirements and intent to graphic design and programming teams
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, Learning Designer, or similar role
- Strong background in instructional content writing and learning design
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (design, development, QA)
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and quality standards
Nice to Have
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools
- Exposure to corporate training, higher education, or professional learning programs
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
